A graduate of West Coast College of Massage Therapy’s 3,000 hour program, Brad has practiced massage therapy since 2011. Myofascial release, trigger point and stretch therapies are some of the techniques preferred in Brad’s treatments. Extensive experience working with professional and collegiate athletes, his interest and knowledge in human movement, along with his accessible and caring nature, allow him to deliver high quality care for his patient’s injuries – sports related or otherwise, general physical maintenance and overall improvement of well being. Patient education is a significant focus of Brad’s approach. Delivery of information – helping patients to understand mechanisms of injury, factors contributing to poor posture and physical mechanics, and thorough education on exercise play an important role to complete a well rounded treatment plan that is individual to each client. Brad created and implemented the program Performance Massage, tailored to the athletes in Vancouver’s VanOpen tennis tournament held at Hollyburn Country Club annually, for three years until the tournament’s end in 2015. Performance Massage was based on technique and experience gained working with UBC’s NAIA National Champion Track and Field/Cross-Country teams (2010-2013.) As well as practicing massage therapy at Equinox, Brad also teaches Manual Skills and Professional Development at the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy.
